Alexis Goes to First Grade
What a very exciting day I had today! Grandpa and Mommy took me up to Grandma's school for a pizza party. When Grandpa walked into the classroom first with six pizzas the boys and girls all starting chanting, "Pizza! Pizza! Pizza" in unison. But then when Mommy and I walked in they were all excited to see me. One of the boys in Grandma's class named Armando had made a little book for me and he read out it out loud to me. I think Grandma's done a good job of teaching him how to read this year. All the boys and girls swarmed around me and wanted to touch and kiss me. I felt so special. Then Grandma and I helped pass out the pizza and Mommy poured the soda and Grandpa took pictures and watched. He said he had a new respect for Grandma because taking care of all 24 of those little boys and girls is a really big job. After everyone except for me got to eat pizza Grandma held me on her lap and all the boys and girls got to come up and give me a hug or kiss and say goodbye because they had to go to gym class. That was so much fun but it wore Mommy and I out. When we got home we went straight to bed and took a long nap. Tonight, Grandma and Mommy gave me a bath so I am all clean and ready for my airplane ride tomorrow. I am going to New York to see my Great Grandpa and Great Grandma and a whole bunch of other people. My Great Aunt Joy is getting married. This will be my very first wedding. I'm so excited! I'd better get to bed, Grandpa says we have to be at the airport by 5:00 am. That's early!

Hanging with Mommy
I got a really good nights sleep last night. I went to bed at 9:00 pm and didn't wake up until 9:00 am. Mommy and I had a really lazy day today. Mommy played with me and we watched back to back episodes of Hannah Montana together. Grandpa even watched with us for a little while. Things got a little more exciting in the afternoon. I was rocking on the front porch when Grandma came home from school. I am always so happy to see her, she says that seeing me is the best part of her day. We went inside and rocked some more in the family room and my Daddy came home from work. We were so happy to see each other. See how sunburned his face is? He's been working hard outdoors with all the pretty flowers.
Then the funniest thing happened. All of a sudden it started to rain really hard outside and Grandpa jumped up off the sofa really fast and ran outside. He had forgotten to put the top up on his convertible and it was pouring down rain. My Mommy laughed and laughed, she thought it was so funny. I did too, my Grandpa can move pretty fast for a big man.
After that Mommy and Daddy went out together to get Mommy's paycheck and I went shopping with Grandpa and Grandma. We went to Adamo's Pizza while Grandpa and Grandma ate and I played with my rattle and played hide and seek with the waitress. I guess that's all for today, tomorrow I may get to go to my Grandma's classroom and see all the boys and girls in her classroom.

Lou's Great Escape
This is me and my dog Lou. Lou is a great jumper! I have my own crib, but Mommy and Daddy have a king size bed that is big enough for all four of us to be on at the same time. It's lots of fun. Sometimes Lou likes to lick my toes.
Anyway, today, mommy let Lou outside for a little bit and when she went to let him in he wasn't in the back yard. Lou had jumped the fence. Mommy called and called for him and a lady on the next street over heard her and yelled back to Mommy saying that Lou was safe and she had him on their back porch. Mommy asked my uncle Zach who is all done with school now if she could borrow his jeep to go get Lou and if Zach could watch me for a bit.
What a treat for me! I never get to spend time with my uncle Zach. Grandpa tells me that it's not personal and that Zach is 18 and just not used to being around babies. Here is a picture of me and uncle Zach when I was just 2 days old.
Sorry, I'm digressing. So Mommy got back with Lou and the rest of the day was pretty quiet. Grandpa got home from work and gave me a bottle and we slept for two hours in Grandpa's recliner. Then Daddy and Grandma came home from work and Grandma watched me while Grandpa took Mommy, Daddy and Daddy's friend Todd out to Buffalo Wild Wings. Grandma fed me and then she rocked me outside on the front porch. Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy and Todd came home just as Todd's girlfriend Molly came to our house.
Todd and Molly are my God Parents and I think they like each other too because they are always kissing and junk. They kiss differently than the way people kiss me. I get a lot of kisses on the cheek and forehead. Todd and Molly kiss more like my Mommy and Daddy kiss. I don't know what all that's about but I guess someone explain it all to me sometime.
Ok. That's all for today, I'm tired and need to go to sleep. Grandpa tells me that in just 3 more days I get to go on an airplane ride!

Giggling with Grandpa
My mommy is off work for a week and a half so we are going to get to spend some quality time together. Her friend, Brandon came over and we went out to Ponderosa to eat. I got to try some vanilla pudding and ice cream.
Daddy had his second day in his new job. He really likes it and the whole family is glad to have him working again.
Grandpa came home from work around 3:30 and we played with some toys on the floor for a little bit then we took a nap in the recliner. That's one of grandpa's favorite things to do. After our nap I sat on the sofa with Grandpa and we played peek-a-boo with a dish towel for a long time. It was so fun...I laughed and giggled alot.
Mrs. Harper came over and helped my grandma get ready to plant some flowers in the front yard.
