Hi there! Can you believe how long it has been? I want to send out a special shout out and apology to Laurene in northern Iowa. Thanks, Laurene, for getting on my Grandpa's case about updating my blog. I've been pestering him too but I'm beginning to understand that sometimes you can't depend on men to get their chores done on time. You know what I mean?
A lot has happened since my last update. Grandma had surgery. Again. This time on her knee. For a couple days she was really uncomfortable and spent quite a bit of time in bed. That was OK with me because I love the play dates I have in bed with Grandma.
Daddy and Mommy would come up and keep Grandma company so she didn't get bored.
Then guess what happened?
- I got sick. I threw up.
- Grandma got sick. She threw up.
- Uncle Zach got sick. He threw up.
- Daddy got sick. He threw up.
- Mommy got sick. She threw up.
- Grandpa never got sick. He left town. He dissed me to go to Iowa and spend a weekend with these ladies???? What's up with that?
I was just a little PO'd at Grandpa for running out on me like that but he called me often and we talked on the phone so I guess I survived. I was so excited when he finally came back home.
This weekend my great Aunt Joy is supposed to come see me. I'm very excited. I love my great Aunt Joy. She is so much fun even if she does tend to use a lot of, shall we say, a lot of colorful metaphors that are not always appropriate for little ears like mine.
xxooxx

Alexis,
ReplyDeleteEverybody needs an Aunt Joy! And a soft Grandma for naps. You really do have to keep tabs on that grandfather of yours, however. He has the look of a scoundrel!
Glad everyone has stopped throwing up.
Love,
Grandma's friend Jackie
